How to Use AI to Write Better LinkedIn Posts
AI can speed up LinkedIn content without making it sound like every other post on the feed. The trick is in how you structure the prompt, not in the model you use.
Most people use AI for LinkedIn the wrong way: they paste a topic, get a draft, post it. The draft reads like AI, the engagement is flat, and the lesson learned is 'AI doesn't work for LinkedIn.'
Three shifts that change the output
- Bring the idea, not just the topic. AI is bad at having opinions; it's good at structuring yours.
- Calibrate voice before drafting. Paste two of your own posts and ask the model to mirror tone, rhythm and word choice.
- Run a 'generic AI' filter pass. Ask the model to flag any sentence that sounds like a default assistant wrote it.
